30,000 Spanish citizens sign against executions in Belarus

The campaign by Liubou Kavaliova, the mother of one of the convicts in the 11 April metro blast case, yielded more than 30,000 signatures at the popular Spanish website Actuable.es.

The signers demand to reverse the death verdicts to Kanavalau and Kavaliou and start a new investigation. It is already the second international campaign for Liubou Kavaliova. She issued her first petition, asking not to execute her son, in cooperation with Change.org. More than 17,000 people from more than 15 countries of the world signed the petition during the first days. The woman was also supported by international human rights organizations and even victims of the terrorist action, who state that the objectivity of the trial is quite doubtful.

Bear in mind that on 30 November Dzmitry Kanavalau and Uladzislau Kavaliou were sentenced to death penalty. They were found guilty of organizing the terrorist act in the Minsk metro and a number of other crimes.
