Deputy head of the presidential administration: the introduction of moratorium on death penalty is possible
The question of introduction of moratorium on death penalty in Belarus is at the stage of discussion, stated the deputy head of the presidential administration Valer Mitskevich.
‘The issue of the death penalty hasn’t appeared yesterday. It is always discussed and will be discussed till a final decision is taken,’ he said. According to the official, death penalty moratorium can be introduced. ‘Any decisions and legislative regulation are possible. Either a draft law or a normative act of the head of the state are needed for it,’ he added.
