Commission for pardons responds to hunger-striker Sviatlana Chornaya
She is protesting against the death sentence
pronounced to Dzmitry Kanavalau and Uladzislau Kavaliou, keeping her
hunger-strike since 30 November.
The woman has received a response of the President’s Commission of Pardons.
According to it, her appeal will be considered according to the Belarusian
legislation. Chornaya has claimed to BelaPAN that she thinks that it is just a
formal reply.
The Minsker wants to send another appeal to the President’s Administration so
that her demands would be considered per se. According to Chornaya, she is
still on hunger-strike and only drinks water from time to time.
