Death row inmate Kiryl Kazachok executed
Death convict Kiryl Kazachok has been executed by shooting, according to information received by Andrei Paluda, coordinator of the campaign “Human Rights Defenders against the Death Penalty in Belarus”.
Kazachok was reportedly shot in late October 2017.
Kiryl Kazachok was sentenced to death in late 2016 by the Homieĺ Regional Court. He chose not to appeal the verdict to the Supreme Court.
Amnesty International issued an urgent appeal to President Lukashenka asking him to commute the death sentence and stop all executions in Belarus.
